A Living Village in Meursault

Facing the town hall and village church, Maison Le Chevreuil is set within the very heartbeat of Meursault — one of the most emblematic villages of the Côte de Beaune. Here, life moves to the gentle rhythm of viticulture, where locals and travelers cross paths in a setting that feels both vibrant and timeless. Surrounded by prestigious vineyards and nestled along the Route des Grands Crus, the hotel offers an immersive gateway into Burgundy’s most celebrated terroirs, where every moment feels anchored in authenticity.

A House Open to Life and Encounters

After two years of meticulous restoration carried out in close collaboration with local artisans, Maison Le Chevreuil reopens as a true maison de village, conceived as a place of gathering and shared experiences. More than a hotel, it is imagined as an open house — a setting for reunions, long conversations, and moments suspended in time. The philosophy is rooted in simplicity and sincerity, inviting guests to reconnect with a slower, more meaningful way of living shaped by wine, seasonality, and human connection.

Between Memory and Contemporary Elegance

The transformation of the house is guided by a precise architectural vision led by Aubin Prost, who carefully orchestrated the dialogue between heritage and modernity. Original elements have been preserved and enhanced, allowing the building’s history to remain present while introducing a refined, contemporary elegance. Interiors are imagined by Johanna Leserre, founder of Slowhome, in collaboration with Bonjour Editions. Together, they have created spaces that feel both creative and deeply rooted in Burgundy’s identity — where every detail, material, and texture tells a story of place, craftsmanship, and modern sensibility.

A Sensory Tribute to Winemaking

The hotel features just 10 rooms, each uniquely designed and offering views over the vineyards or the village square. Interiors draw inspiration directly from the world of winemaking — from softly curved showers reminiscent of fermentation vats to deep “lie-de-vin” hues echoing the richness of Burgundy wines. Bespoke smoked oak furniture adds a layer of understated sophistication, while thoughtful layouts include tea corners, workspaces, dressing areas, and refined bathrooms. At the heart of the experience lies an exceptional focus on sleep. Each room is equipped with beds by Hästens, the renowned Swedish manufacturer founded in 1852 and considered a global benchmark in luxury bedding. Maison Le Chevreuil is currently the only hotel in France to offer this level of craftsmanship, with handmade beds crafted from natural materials such as horsehair, cotton, linen, and wool — transforming each night into a truly restorative experience.

TERRE, The Soul of the House

At the center of the property, TERRE emerges as the beating heart of Maison Le Chevreuil. Conceived as a convivial table, wine bar, and social space, it unfolds across two terraces, an outdoor kitchen, and open-flame cooking areas that celebrate the raw beauty of ingredients. In the kitchen, Alfredo Martin, former executive chef of GrandCœur, brings a cuisine that is instinctive, seasonal, and deeply respectful of the land. His approach is deliberately unpretentious — focused on authenticity, flavor, and the joy of sharing. Guests may gather for a refined dinner, a wood-fired pizza, or a simple glass of wine at sunset. The cellar pays tribute to Burgundy’s winemakers while opening up to other regions, with each bottle carefully selected. Tastings and encounters with producers enrich the experience, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the culture of wine.

The Art of Slow Burgundy Living

Maison Le Chevreuil embraces a philosophy of slow, sensory living, where luxury is defined by authenticity rather than excess. Days unfold between vineyard walks, tastings, and quiet moments on sunlit terraces. The atmosphere encourages reconnection — to place, to time, and to oneself — in a setting that feels both deeply local and quietly refined.
