Originally built in the 15th century for the noble Dandolo family, Palazzo Dandolo is one of Venice’s finest examples of Gothic architecture. Today, Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel brings together three historic buildings: Palazzo Dandolo, Palazzo Casa Nuova, once home to the Treasury of the Republic of Venice, and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior. The first phase of the reopening unveils the restored Palazzo Dandolo and Palazzo Casa Nuova, while the final transformation of Palazzo Danieli Excelsior is expected to be completed in 2027. In the entrance hall of Palazzo Dandolo, the original coffered ceiling has been meticulously restored, with its golden details brought back to life against a deep blue background. Historic stone columns, the monumental staircase and architectural details have all been carefully preserved, while Venetian artistry appears throughout the hotel. Murano glass, terrazzo flooring, Rubelli fabrics and antique mirrors create an atmosphere where every detail reflects the cultural richness of the city.
